Woods Pond is located in Iron County, Utah. The pond is inside of the Woods Ranch Recreation Area which is about 12 miles east of Cedar City on UT 12.

Fishing Regulations

Woods Pond falls under the community pond fishing regulations of Utah. The daily limit is 2 fish. Anglers are encouraged to voluntarily release all Largemouth Bass. Waters are open to fishing only when the community parks are open to the public.  Adult Anglers are encouraged to defer to kids.

History

The Wood’s ranch was started as a homestead by the Wood family some time around 1900.

In 1955 the property was put up for sale. The ranch was purchased by Iron County in 1956 with the understanding that civic groups would develop recreational facilities.
