The lakes of the Duchesne Drainage are some of the most popular in the Uinta Mountains. Most people on average access the Uintas via Mirror Lake Highway (UT-150). This highway was named of course after Mirror Lake which sits in the Duchesne River Drainage. Many of the lakes in this drainage are a short walk from the highway. There are three letter designations for this area D, X, and Z.
