Cedar View Reservoir

Location

Cedar View Reservoir is located in Duchesne County, Utah on Ute tribal land. The reservoir is just east of Uintah Canyon. From the city of Monarch you can take Cottonwood Canyon Road north for 8 and a half miles then turn on 7600 road to the reservoir.

Regulations

To gain access to the reservoir you will need a permit from the Ute Indian Tribe. You can purchase a permit from Ute Plaza Grocery Store, located at 7750 E. US HWY 40, Ft. Duchesne, Utah 84026. The only Ute Proclamation we can find is from 2014, although a lot of the information is still current.
