Directions: Floating Island Lake is in Sevier County, Utah and is part of the Thousand Lakes Mountain range.  From Loa head North on U-72 until you hit Forsyth Reservoir then turn right on the dirt road directly across the street. Once you head up that dirt road for a bit there is a sign with map to the reservoir. You park at Meeks Lake and walk 3/4 of a mile to Floating Island Reservoir. There is a trail that looks nicer but doesn't head to the lake. Don't even take a trail just walk down the hill then head west. The hike isn't too bad I've seen people carry float tubes to the lake.

Fish Species: Splake, Tiger Trout, Cutthroat.

Other Info: The old state record for Tiger Trout was caught here.

Nearby Areas to Fish: Meeks Lake, Morrell Pond, Farrell Pond, Heart Lake, Forsyth Reservoir, Mill Meadow Reservoir,
