Directions: Woodruff Reservoir is located in Rich County, Utah. In the summer time from Highway 89 in Ogden take Highway 39 about 58 miles North East through Monte Cristo. This highway is closed in the winter time just west of Birch Creek. Alternatively all year around you can come from Evanston, Wyoming (29 miles) or Randolf, Utah (17 miles). From Evanston take highway 89 (the same road to Wyoming Downs horse races) follow to Utah. The road changes to highway 16, follow this to the city of Woodruff then turn onto highway 39. Follow Highway 39 for about 5.6 miles then turn west on Woodruff Creek Road. Follow this road about 4 miles to the Reservoir.
Fish Species: Bear River Cutthroat Trout. We used to list this water as having Colorado Cutthroat. There is several older sources online claiming this to be the case. I believe this was the case in the late 1980's and early 90's. All data in the last ten years points to this lake and river having only Bear River Cutthroat.
Fish Stocked Since 2002: No reported fish stocked from the DWR
Nearby Areas to Fish: Birch Creek, Bear Lake, Little Creek Reservoir, South Lake, Woodruff Narrows Reservoir (Wyoming), Pineview Reservoir, Causey Reservoir, Deseret Land and Livestock, Echo Reservoir.
