Directions

Birch Creek reservoir is located in Rich County, Utah. In the summer time from Highway 89 in Ogden take Highway 39 about 56 miles North East through Monte Cristo. This highway is closed in the winter time just west of Birch Creek. Alternatively all year around you can come from Evanston, Wyoming (31 miles) or Randolf, Utah (19 miles). From Evanston take highway 89 (the same road to Wyoming Downs horse races) follow to Utah. The road changes to highway 16, follow this to the city of Woodruff then turn onto highway 39. Unlike the turn to Woodruff Reservoir the turn to Birch Creek Reservoir is posted from highway 39.

Once you park you will have to hike up the dam in order to access the lake.
