Location
Trident Lake also known as A-41, is located in Summit County, Utah, and is part of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. Trident Lake resides in the Provo River drainage area of the Uinta Mountains. From the Mirror Lake highway UT-150 take the Trial Lake exit onto Spring Canyon Road FR041. Follow FR041 for about 3 miles, then turn east into a dirt road that leads to a camping area. The lake is only a couple of hundred feet off of FR041 so you wont have to travel far. Once you get past Washington Lake the road turns to dirt and gets more rocky once you pass the Haystack Lake turn off. Although overall the road generally isn't too rough going to Trident Lake.
Other Info
When I last visited the lake in the fall of 2017 it was surrounded by marshes and lots of mud. The lake appeared to be pretty shallow, although had a lot less pressure than the more popular lakes to the north.
Historical DWR info
This shallow, productive lake is located immediately adjacent to the Spring Canyon Road 6 3/8 miles north of U- 150. Trident is 4 acres, 9,400 feet in elevation, with 5 feet maximum depth. The lake lies in a meadow surrounded by conifers. Camping areas are available with turn-offs for mobile camping units. Spring water is not present. Trident contains brook trout and receives heavy fishing pressure.
Fish Species
The lake is stocked on average every 3 years with about 400 Brook Trout.
