Ice Fishing Report
North - Birch Creek is capped with safe ice.
Northeast - Browne Lake, Calder, Matt Warner all capped. The DWR says Currant Creek will cap soon but in my experience it always freezes after Strawberry.
Uintas - If you can get to the water you can ice fish it.
Central - Deer Creek is starting to ice up (FB). Mill Hollow has safe ice, although a very snowy road. Strawberry typically freezes about a week and a half after Scofield. Ice is starting to form on many of the marinas around Utah Lake. - Utah Lake Facebook.com.
Southeast - All the higher up lakes in the Manti La-Sal region are capped, but access only with a sled. Boulger, Huntington, and cleveland have seen fishing through the ice. The boat ramp and Electric is iced up. Scofield has around 4 inches and people have been fishing it for the last few days, although take precaution.
South - Johnson Reservoir and Mill Meadow are capped. Fish Lake typically freezes around Christmas.
Flaming Gorge - People are ice fishing Fire Hole with moderate success. Expect lost dog to be capped by next weekend.
Lake Powell - Still no ice we will continue to update the status of no ice for the winter.
